Displaying a Map
Introduction
This section discusses the configuration of the PPI background to display a map with the radar data.
There are two options:
Open Street Map: is a map of the world, and is free to use under an open license.
Google Map: is a web mapping service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography & street maps.
The options for Google Map are as follows:
Default
Terrain
Altered Roadmap
Satellite Only
Terrain Only
Hybrid
Using Google Map requires an internet connection.
The process of adding a Detection Area can be aided by Displaying a Map, or uploading a Background Image: Adding a Background Image.

Background Map
This can be accessed via the User Details User Details Screen. There is information regarding the settings in the Background Display here: Background Display.
In the User Details window, select the Background Display tab. Enable the Edit button, then select the desired map from the drop down menu.

If selecting Google Map there is a drop down menu:

Once you have chosen the desired Background Map, select Save to save the Map Setting.
