New PPI Pane - AdvanceGuardĀ®
Introduction
This section covers the use of additional PPI windows. This is a powerful feature in AdvanceGuardĀ® and Sea360Ā® and enables operators to monitor large sites with relative ease. It also allows the operator to associate camera views with specific areas of the map to provide excellent situational awareness.
Each time a user selects this option from the System Menu a new map display window (PPI) will be opened. Each of these window panes can be made full screen if you have multiple monitors or you can dock these panes together to combine different views together into a single window.

Creating a PPI Pane
Select the New PPI Pane option from the System Menu.
A copy of the PPI Map Display will appear in a separate window, complete with the PPI Navigation Control and Radar or Camera Mini Control.
Ā
The opacity of the map tiles and background image can be adjusted in the same way as the main display.Ā
Ā
Multiple panes can be opened at once, each with a different display focus.
Overwatch
Overwatch provides the ability to link the additional PPI windows to activity on the main display. This means they will automatically adjust their view based on the type overwatch used. This provides a unique āhands-freeā feature that provides the operator multiple views of an incident without additional interaction or manual control of the display.
There are twoĀ types of Overwatch:
Primary Screen: The PPI Pane will follow the movement of the primary PPI Map Display on the UI, but an independent zoom can be configured. For instance, the main PPI Map Display can be zoomed out on large sites, whilst the Overwatch PPI Pane can be zoomed in to show specific detail.
Camera:Ā A PPI Pane is assigned to follow a camera. It will pan automatically to keep the camera's viewpoint at the centre of the PPI Pane, but an independent zoom can be configured.
To create an Overwatch window:
Open a New PPI Pane and select the Overwatch icon
Choose an Overwatch type from the dropdown selection.
