Introduction

This is a search function to quickly find any entity in the system. When you select the Search function it opens the Entity Search dialog from which you can find any entity and easily locate it within the system.

The keyboard shortcut to open the search dialog is Ctrl+Alt+F.

Searching and Results

Open

To search for an entity just type part of the name, description or user Id into the search text box. Matching entities will be automatically found as you type. On systems with lots of entities you may want filter the results by the entity type.

Locating Entities

To locate an entity on the map display, simply double-click the required entity in the search results.
