User Interface

Display Rotation (°): The rotation of the PPI map display. The default display points North, and is as such at 0.00°. The ability to control the rotation is available without the User Details being configured by using the short-cut keys Ctrl+Shift+ ← (to rotate PPI clockwise), Ctrl+Shift+ → (to rotate PPI anti-clockwise) and Ctrl+Shift+ (to reset the PPI to 0). Therefore, this field can be edited without the Edit button being selected.

The Display Rotation panel will only briefly be displayed on the bottom middle of the PPI screen if the rotation of the PPI changes.

Use Animations: Window transition animations that create an aesthetic 'fade' When using the User Interface through Remote Access, it is recommended you turn Animations off, in case of lag.

Show Clock: Select to include a digital clock in the top right of the page header.

Show Weather Information: Select to display the weather conditions and temperature in the title bar (next to the clock if that is enabled too).

Speed Unit: The unit of speed the tracks are measured in (m/s, mph, kph, Knots)

Label Visibility: Select an option to configure the visibility of the entity labels on the PPI.

Active Layers: The layers visible and available to that user. You can create layers by editing the drop down list under the Config tab. However, default layers will be these:

Default Layer: The original layer on which the carriageway was drawn.

S/A Layer: The Situation Awareness layer, onto which any carriageway data must be copied if it is to be exported as a video file.

Ruler Colour: The colour of the ruler drawn by the Ctrl+Right Click ruler tool.

Show Scale Bar: Select this to have the scale bar visible on the PPI map.

Show Lat/Long: Select this to show the Latitude & Longitude on the PPI.

Use Track Prediction: Select this to predict a movement when the UI Update Interval is faster than the track rate from the radar(s). This can help smooth the UI update.

Safety is everything.
