Web Planner Tool (Azure) Release Notes
Introduction
These notes cover the new features and fixes released for each version of the Azure hosted Web Planner tool. The tool is used to help plan the selection of radar models and their location for a security project. Help on using the tool can be found hereWeb Planner Tool. Version 3.1.3 - 5th February 2026
New Features
Added HDR282X radar model.
Version 3.1.2 - 28th January 2026
New Features
Added the ability to add overlay images to the map.
Added the ability to estimate radar coverage based on google maps elevation data.
Added missing radar models.
Added the ability to set radar opacity.
Improvements
Major code refactor aimed at improving stability and development speed.
General UI improvements for better user experience.
Object editor separated from object list panel for easier object property editing.
Objects can now be selected while not in edit mode to view properties while not being able to edit them.
Replaced perimeters with polylines and added an option to areas to mark them as perimeters.
When creating areas and polylines, can now create a default shape instead of drawing.
Trace now updates automatically while moving radars/areas/polylines around.
Areas and polylines are now saved as json instead of using google maps encoding for better precision.
Object editors have all been reorganised to be more consistent in layout and usage.
Read-only scenarios now have label toggles to enable and disable Navtech/google labels.
Fixes
Home button now recentres on project home when no scenario selected instead of the centre of google maps.
Can no longer save a radar with an empty name which was causing a freeze due to radars requiring a name.
Various other fixes due to code refactor as different objects are no longer coupled causing strange behaviours.
Version 3.0.20 - 21st June 2023
Fixed a bug where users could see projects not normally visible to them on the world map view.

Added ability to add echodyne panels to the map.
Added the ability to copy areas.
Reintroduced the ability to change project status.
Improved World View load times & behaviour.
Improved dashboard responsiveness.
Fixes
Fixed various small bugs for that could occur when entering edit mode.
Fixed help button link.
Fixed POI Labels not appearing correctly.
Fixed missing Navtech logo.
Shapes now correctly show current stroke weight / stroke weights should be correctly set to original values when an item is unselected..
Drop downs now correctly show current value when loaded.
Selecting a Echodyne Panel from the objects list now correctly pans the map to the object.
Version 3.0.18 - 4th November 2022
New Features
Added ability to create ‘Labels’ and ‘Points of Interest’ on the map.
Fixes
Radar label text changes are now reflected instantly on the map. Saving is still required to commit these changes.
Radar labels are now shown as soon as a radar is created.
Font sizes are now correctly loaded into the various editors and changes will be reflected immediately on the map without the need to save. Saving is still required to commit the changes.
Radars are now created at the centre of the view on the map rather than the home position which could be off screen.
Version 3.0.17 - October 2022
Improvements
Migrated Web Planner to Azure Hosting
Dockerised Application & Build Process.
Configured Continual Deployment on Team City servers.
Fixes
Pagination on the dashboard view is now processed server side.
Fixed a race condition that could cause the World View to fail to load.
Account registration endpoint is now secure.
Cleaned up some presentation by adding some margins and ensuring elements don't overlap.
