Overview

This service takes positional information from the Management Server when a potential problem has been discovered, based upon defined rules, and uses the information to direct the camera(s) to view the correct location(s). Camera Controllers control the pan, tilt and zoom aspects of all installed cameras. Though the number of cameras that can be integrated into a Witness system is unlimited, and in no way related to the number of radars, there is a maximum number that the Camera Controllers can efficiently control and this is largely dependent on how busy each of the cameras will be. For planning purposes, we would recommend working with a maximum of 80 cameras. Other factors do apply, such as the bandwidth and speed required for telemetry and the bandwidth required for the video feeds.
