Area Movement Rule
The Area Movement Rule wizard will create a rule that will generate an alarm and task a camera to follow a target if the target enters the selected area and if it matches the optional property check.

Configuring the Wizard
Choose the Area Movement Rule type:
Select a New Area (in green) or an existing Area (in white).
Here a New Area has been selected. This will automatically create an area entitled “New Area” under the folder Areas in the configuration tree. The area can be edited and moved once the wizard has been completed.
On the second page of the wizard, you can configure additional properties. None are selected by default, and if not configured at this point they can be added at a later date by editing the rule.
On the third page of the wizard you can configure Set Break Allowance Properties. The default settings are displayed below:

In this example, the target has been classified as All:

A check can be added if the target enters the specified area.

In this example, And has been selected (by default). This means that each of the checks will need to be satisfied for the Actions to proceed.
Actions
Alarm Rule Actions | Alarm
This will sound an alarm if the Area is entered. The Priority and Severity of the ingress can also be configured; for example, in a highly sensitive area then you may want the highest threat level to be set. By default, the setting is a Medium Threat.
Camera Rule Actions | Camera
Selecting the Keep Following checkbox will set a camera to keep following the target after the condition clears.
PPI Example
This displays the default Area Movement Rule Area:
The area has been to cover part of a footpath:
A target approaches the Area.
The target enters the area and activates the alarm.
