Connect Power

Using the power supply unit included with the demonstration kit, connect the radar power supply cable as shown below.

At the other end of the power supply cable, align the white padlock image on the plug with the white stripe on the connector on the radar body (uppermost). Push the radar power connector fully home in to the socket on the radar and then turn the outer locking ring clockwise to ensure the connector engaged and locked. When correctly seated and secured, the green padlock symbol will be uppermost on the connector. as shown in the video below.

Gen2 Radar power connection

 

To connect the radar power lead to the radar body, align the cable connector to the keyways of the socket. Push the connector in to the socket, tightening the ribbed outer ring of the connector clockwise until the connector is fully secure. This will be approximately one complete turn.

The socket on the radar body and the connector on the power cable are supplied, fitted with dust caps. These caps do not offer any protection against water ingress. The radar and its’ connections are only fully protected against water ingress when both connectors are mated.
