Introduction

This section outlines the data protocol used to distribute real time radar data to network clients. The Colossus Protocol is used by all Navtech Radars that utilise TCP/IP to send data to clients over a standard fast Ethernet connection.

This document is intended for integrators who want to make use of the raw radar data within their own applications. Although in certain modes the radar can perform its own data processing, this protocol is intended for client software that will implement its own processing algorithms.
