Introduction

The Radar Data Playback feature enables the playback of a radar data recording. Each radar can be configured to playback a recording of data which was captured from a real radar. This works as if it was connected to a real radar.

The main element that is missing is the radar health data which we collect in real time from the radar. In playback mode we simulate the health data.

Configuring Radar Data Playback

  1. Ensure that the Track Engine Provider Type is set to Cp Tracker for the radar that you are configuring for playback:

  2. Copy the recorded Radar Playback CPR file in the Playback subfolder; C:\ProgramData\Navtech\Playback.

  3. Restart the Track Engine:

  4. Edit the Radar Configuration to have a Source Type of Playback:

  5. Select a Playback File you have copied to the Playback folder and save:

  6. Select the radar on the PPI and the Tracker Playback Controls in the Radar Mini Control will be enabled:

The Program Data file is hidden by default.

All playback files must go onto the same system as the Track Engine. Where there are multiple Track Engines, it must be the Track Engine that is responsible for the radar for which you want to play back data.
