Breach Line Rule

Introduction

The Breach Line wizard will allow you to create a rule that detects a target crossing a defined boundary with the selected classification. If the target breaks the rule then an alarm will be raised and camera will be tasked to follow the target.

Information regarding the configuration of a Breach Line can be found here: .

Configuring the Wizard

  1. Choose the Breach Line Rule type.

  2. Select a New Breach Line (in green) or an existing Breach Line (in white).

  3. Here a New Breach Line has been selected. This will create a new breach line that can immediately edited. The line will be created under the Breach Lines folder in the configuration tree.

  4. Adjust and position the breach line as required before progressing to the next step.

  5. On the second page of the Breach Line wizard, you can configure additional properties. None are selected by default, and if not configured at this point they can be added at a later date by editing the rule.

  6. On the third page of the Breach Line wizard, you can configure Break Allowance properties. The example below shows the default settings. They can be amended at a later date by editing the rule.

  7. This is the resulting breach line rule: -

Be aware that the Breach Line may appear behind the wizard dialog so you may need to drag the dialog to one side so you can edit the line. If you prefer, you can edit the Breach Line once the wizard has been completed.

Video

The following video shows the creation of a Breach Line Rule, using an existing Breach Line (please see ) and a track breaking this rule. In this scenario, the Breach Line is set to notify you if a track moves across the breach line towards the orchard, and the broken rule triggers an alarm. The track is then permitted to move back across the breach line without notifying you and the alarm stops:
