Video Server Network
Creating a Situational Awareness Video
To create a S/A video, you must:
- Enable – under the Topology tab. Configure the Video Server Settings to your specification in the Topology Panel.
- Return to the System Menu to configure the Export Settings on the Settings: Video Server window.
- These settings are explained fully in the Video Server page.
- In the Settings: Video Server window, select Edit.
- Under the Situational Awareness Export Options, press Create Map.
- Use the Clear Situational Awareness Map button to delete an out of date Situational Awareness video if changes have been made to the PPI Display on the S/A Layer. Update it by selecting Create Map again.
Scafell
Once the Situational Awareness Video has been created, the next step is to open up a UI, a separate piece of software to ClearWay™, in order to view the video stream. It is up to the discretion of the user which video management system and software to use, but Witness™ does include our own specialised video management software: Scafell™. In order to find out the URL of the camera stream, users will need to open Scafell™ regardless of their video management software choice. Though it is not needed to view video feeds, Scafell™ is the easiest way to find out their URL addresses. Scafell™ cannot be used unless the Situational Awareness addition and Video License have been purchased.
