Introduction

This section covers the use of additional PPI windows. This is a powerful feature in AdvanceGuard® and enables operators to monitor large sites with relative ease. It also allows the operator to associate camera views with specific areas of the map to provide excellent situational awareness.

On this page:

Creating a PPI Pane

  1. Open up the System Menu by selecting the ☰ graphic.

  2. Select New PPI Pane.

  3. A copy of the PPI Map Display will appear in a separate window, complete with the PPI Navigation Control, Selected Entity Info Panel and Track Statistics.

  4. The opacity of the Open Street Map and Background Image can be adjusted.

  5. Multiple panes can be open at once, each with a different display focus.

Overwatch

There are two types of Overwatch:
  • Primary Screen: the PPI Pane will follow the movement of the primary PPI Map Display on the UI, but an independent zoom can be configured. For instance, the main PPI Map Display can be zoomed out on large sites, whilst the Overwatch PPI Pane can be zoomed in to show specific detail.
  • Camera: a PPI Pane is assigned to follow a camera. It will pan automatically to keep the camera's viewpoint at the centre of the PPI Pane, but an independent zoom can be configured.

To create an Overwatch window:

  1. Open a New PPI Pane and select the Overwatch icon.
  2. Choose an Overwatch type from the dropdown selection.
