Connect Power & Network - RAS3 Prototype Loan

To connect the radar power & data lead to the radar body, align the cable connector to the keyways of the socket. Push the connector in to the socket, tightening the ribbed outer ring of the connector clockwise until the connector is fully secure. This will be approximately one complete turn.

When the connector is correctly secured, the red ring (visible in the left hand image below) will be completely obscured.

The radar should be attached to a GBit network via the RJ45 connector.

Connection either directly to a PC or to a network switch/hub is possible

Use a 24v power supply for the RAS3 prototype loan radar: connect the radar power supply cable as shown below.

The socket on the radar body and the connector on the power cable are supplied, fitted with dust caps. These caps do not offer any protection against water ingress. The radar and its’ connections are only fully protected against water ingress when both connectors are mated.
