Click the Add Label button:
A Label dialogue will open:
Give the label a name and click the Create button:
A label will appear on the map with its given name.
You can move the label around the map using left-click+drag with your mouseand you can update its available parameters as displayed above whilst it has been chosen for editing.

To delete a label, make sure you are in Edit mode. Select the label by selecting it from either the map or object list and pressing the delete button:
A confirmation dialog will be displayed:
If Yes is selected, then the label will be deleted. If No is selected then it will not be deleted and you will be returned to the map.
Click Save to save the changes.
