The new version of SafeGuard™ is an embedded application built into the latest CIR radar. Although less complex than the original stand-alone application, it still offers a similar capability, allowing the radar to be used as an intelligent sensor to detect and warn of objects within the vicinity of the radar.

The SafeGuard™ anti collision system makes industrial automation more secure and intuitive. More resilient than laser for preventing accidents between manned and unmanned vehicles, SafeGuard gives industrial vehicles all weather vision and reliable, long range detection. Quay cranes will no longer cause costly damage to ships, automated dump trucks can detect obstacles up to 200m away and helicopters can land safely in poor visibility where other systems would fail.
