NAVTECH radars are designed to meet IP67 Ingress Protection Rating, however this protection is dependent on the way the radar is stored and installed.
Damage resulting from the Ingress of water and or dust will not be covered by our warranty if these instructions have not been adhered to.
Radar storage
Leave dust caps on the Power and Data connectors of the radar and cables while in storage.
Sealing of the Radar connections
IP67 rating is only achieved when both the Power and Data cables are fitted and secured correctly.
Vent Plug
Navtech radars are shipped with a breathable vent plug fitted.
Do not remove the vent plug. The vent plug allows for variations in air pressure.
Replacement Cables:
Replacement ethernet (WIR0122) and power (WIR0114) cable assemblies are available from Navtech Radar Ltd. Please contact: support@navtechradar.com
