Adding a Static Sensor

To add a Static Sensor:

  1. Enable the Config Function. Select a entity - for instance, the Static Sensors folder.

  2. In the Configuration Panel, select New, and then Static Sensor.

  2. The Create New Static Sensor wizard will appear in a new window. Name the Static Sensor, then select Finish.

  2. The new Sensor will now appear in the Configuration Tree, and will have been placed in the centre of the PPI. Ctrl+Click+Drag the circular Sensor icon to move the Sensor, or use the co-ordinates in the Static Sensor settings, on the Configuration Panel.

  2. Use the Angle slider in the Static Sensor settings to change the Sensor's direction of view.

  2. After the Static Sensor is correctly positioned on the PPI, configure the Camera Preset - either through the Static Sensor settings in the Configuration Panel, or by Ctrl+Click+Dragging the star icon representing the Camera Preset on the PPI map.

If the static sensor does not lie within an existing defined area, or the existing area uses an unsuitable rule (such as one that detects movement), create a new area and rule for the static sensor.
