Overview
The IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) AIS Plugin allows the system to receive tracks from AIS devices. The management server seamlessly integrates with the Witness AdvanceGuard® software enabling operators to see friendly targets on the map interface, but more importantly, this data is correlated with the radar tracks enabling the software to match targets detected by the radar with friendly targets reported by the AIS system. This ensures AdvanceGuard® knows which are friendly targets and which are potential threats thus dramatically reducing nuisance alarms.
