Supervisor and Admin users can set a default map location and zoom for Sentinel to enable quick access to a single origin Operators can then explore their map on Sentinel with an easy way to return to a known point. This can be especially useful for a Sentinel installation used for outputting a MPEG video feed or used as a point of reference for large sites where operators may lose track of their location.

To save a default location, we can follow the following steps:

  1. Log on as an Admin or Supervisor user

  2. Select a location

  3. Click "Store PPI Position and Zoom" button on the Quick Panel on the middle left of the screen.

If you cannot see the Quick Panel, make sure that Quick Panel Is On is ticked on the configuration page.

To restore the default location, simply click "Restore PPI Position and Zoom" button on the Quick Panel.
