Install the HiK Vision SDK Files

The HiK SDK is required when using the Chinese HiK Vision IP CCTV cameras with Witness. The IP communications are proprietary and the cameras do not support any open standards such as ONVIF. Cyclops will utilise the SDK to send the necessary telemetry commands to the cameras.  

Step-by-step guide

  1. Download the HiK Vision SDK from the resources - listed below.

  2. Unzip the folder and copy it "as is" and place it inside the main Witness application folder. The default application folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Navtech Radar\Witness Suite.

  3. Cyclops can now be started and the relevant HiK Vision IP camera can be selected and configured in Sentinel.

 

It is important that the HiK Vision SDK is the x86 version. The x64 will not currently work with Witness. The files must be in place before Cyclops is started.
