Track Speed Rule

Introduction

This page covers how to configure a Track Speed Rule which includes a video demonstrating the process. Typically, this rule can be used to alert you for stopped vehicles in an Emergency Recovery Area.

Track speed rules are used to analyse each track in turn. Like all other rules, this will raise an alarm for a section, but the rule will look at each track individually to identify if it has broken the rule.

Configuration

To configure a Track Speed Rule:

  1. Select the carriageway and click on the Actions button:

     

  2. Select Rules:

     

  3. On the Configure Rules window select New:

     

  4. Select Track Speed from the drop down list:

     

  5. Then click Create Rule:

     

  6. The default rule settings can then be adjusted as desired. In the example below the Severity, Alarm Priority and Per Track Alarms were changed:

     

  7. Then on the Advanced tab the Classification was changed to All and the rule was saved:

     

  8. The new rule is now displayed in the Configure Rules window:
