Tracker

Time Constant for Clutter Capture: The clutter map time constant used during the clutter floor capture process. This value is only applied during the capture and the current time constant is restored once the capture is complete.

Disconnect Keep Alive: The amount of time the on-board tracker (on-board only) will stay active after the Track Engine has disconnected. If the Track Engine reconnects within this time, the system will immediately resume operation. If the Track Engine does not connect within this configured time, the on-board tracker will restart and everything will reinitialise when the Track Engine reconnects.

Enable Range Lines: Enables range lines for all visible radar. This feature, when enabled, will draw concentric range circles around all radar. It has these additional settings:

Range Line Distance (m): Specifies how far apart the range lines are. For clarity they should not be less than 10m apart.

Colour: Sets the colour of the range lines.

Hide Range Limit Lines: By default all radar show their maximum range with a single range circle at the radar’s maximum range. This is hidden when this option enabled, leaving only the radar position marker.

Fast Start

Whilst the on-board tracker is waiting for a reconnect, Witness freezes the tracking configuration and keeps it fully operational. This means that when the Track Engine reconnects (assuming its within the specified Disconnect Keep Alive period) the system can immediately resume operation and report any alarms which are already in progress. For example, a vehicle that stopped whilst the Track Engine was disconnected from the radar, will immediately generate an alarm once the Track Engine reconnects. There is no time required to re-initialise the system when it reconnects.

Safety is everything.
