Create a New Project
Your first step is to create a new project:
Select the New Project button:
You will be presented with the New Project screen:
Enter the New Project details. For more information please refer to The Project Dashboard. Here is an example:
Locating your Site
The next step is to locate your site on the map.
At the top right of the map there is a search box. It is linked directly to Google Maps, so anything you can find with Google Maps can be found here.
When you type into the box, Google will populate a drop down list with possible results:
You can also search for a company name or an address instead.
If you do not have an address, but you have latitude and longitude co-ordinates, you can use this in the search box to find your site.
The format should be like this:
51.590555, -1.387478
Note: This is in decimal degrees and the lat/long values are separated by a comma. Certain tools, like Google Earth will provide coordinates in minutes and degrees by default (i.e. 51°35'26.0"N 1°23'14.9"W). We can't support this format but you can normally change the application settings to provide the coordinates in decimal degrees.
Once you select the result, the map will be updated with a map marker showing the location.
This marker can be dragged to the centre of your site.
To drag it, simply click and hold the left mouse button on the marker and drag it around the map:
Create
Once you have completed all of the Project Details, the Create button will be enabled:
When you press the Create button, your project will be saved to the database and you will be returned to the Project Dashboard:
For information about updating your Project please see: The Project Dashboard.
