Google Map Type
You have a choice of two map types:
Map: By default, Map mode will be displayed. This is a stylised map, showing roads and basic landscape details. There is also an option to enable terrain if you select it.
This map is very useful if you are creating a plan for a city area, where information about buildings and other structures are not usually present.
Satellite: This displays the Google satellite image of the area. There is an option to show labels which is selected by default.
Clicking the button which is not in bold type will change the map type:
Home
Clicking the home button (which features the name of the scenario) returns you to the location of the site on the scenario, as discussed here: The Project Dashboard. This will be helpful if you have moved too far away from the site location:
Here the map has returned to the Home position, where the house icon is centred in the middle of the map:
Map Navigation Controls
This icon opens the Map Navigation Controls:
These controls help you navigate around the map display allowing you to pan up, down, right and left as well as zooming in or out.
Alternatively, you can click + drag and scroll using your mouse to move around the map.
