RF Health: This graph relates to the RF Health in Vertex , https://navtechradar.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PROD/pages/2269904897/Admin+-+Factory#RF-Health (please see below), and displays a baseline in blue which represents the ‘normal’ state of the radar image, and the current state of the radar image which is in green. A healthy value is typically around 5-6 and an unhealthy value is around 9/10.

Info

If the RF Health, Temperature, Packet Rate or Rotation health falters, then the colour of the graph will indicate the severity of the lack of health: amber as a warning, then red for an unhealthy status.

RF Health in Vertex

The RF Health monitoring enables the system to detect any deterioration of a radar’s transceiver due to electromechanical failure or wear and identifies deliberate interference with the radar’s operation.

It achieves this by using a baseline which represents the ‘normal’ state of the radar image.  The current state of the radar image is compared against the baseline at regular intervals, and then reports any discrepancies between the baseline and the current state of the radar image.
