System Profiles can be used to create a global change of your Tracking Parameters, so you do not have to change each Tracking Parameters' Settings individuallytracking and radar parameters with a simple click of a button. By assigning different sets of Tracking Parameters parameter changes to profiles, it is very easy for the operator to toggle between different Tracking tracking sensitivities.
A typical use of the system profile would be to de-sensitise the tracking during bad weather in order to reduce false alarms. It provides a system level configuration change which the operator can easily switch on and off. System profile settings can be applied to one or more tracking parameters ; and one or more radar providing a very flexible solution. The profile systems allows operators to easily make changes to the overall system performance without needing to make configuration changes. Administrators are responsible for creating profiles, but operators can apply them, assuming they have necessary permissions.
Note |
---|
It is important to note that a Tracking Parameter Profile is a Δ delta change. The default system profile has values all of 0, so the individual Tracking Parameter Settings are not changed with this profile. A Tracking Parameter Profile's values do not replace the individual Tracking Parameter Settings but instead adjust them by apply a delta offset. Thus a positive or negative value can be included in a Tracking Parameter. |

Operators, if they have the correct permissions, can change a profile by the using the Profile button in the main window title bar.

You will see a notification informing you the profile has changed and the profile name will name be displayed on the Profile button
Adding a New Profile
By default, there is only one System Profile: the Default profile. This profile has no values, therefore no global delta change to the Tracking Parameters' Settings.
To add a new profile:
Go to System Menu>Settings>System Settings>System Profiles.
In Edit mode, select the Add System Profile button:
...
The Add System Profile window will open.
...
Enter the Name and ID of your profile and select OK.
...
The new profile will appear in the System Profiles table.
Select Save. Currently, it will be as blank as a Default profile, so you must next configure the profile.
...
Configuring a Tracking Parameter Profile
Enable the Config Function, then select a Tracking Parameter in the Configuration Tree.
...
In the Configuration Panel, select Profiles.
...
A new window, Tracking Parameter Profiles, will appear.
If no profile has as yet been added, the table will be empty, because the Default profile does not appear, as it is locked from configuration. Default values will always be 0.
However, in this example, we have added a new profile. Select the new profile (in this case Light Rain) from the table, then select Add.
...
The Tracking Parameter Profile delta options will appear. Input your global delta changes.

Select Save when finished.
Tri-State Control
Note that some of the properties, such as Wake Suppression, have check boxes which are tri-state. This means they can be:
Not Set - means that when the profile is applied this setting will not change anything
Disabled - this means when the profile is applied the setting will be disabled
Enabled - this means when the profile is applied the setting will be enabled
Other options, such as Clutter Control Enabled, have to be enabled to select settings that will be applied when the profile is selected, If the setting is not enabled the profile will not change this configuration when applied.

Configuring a Tracker Profile
...
Each radar supports its own configuration based on a specific profile. This enables a single profile to make different changes to different radar. For example you may want to adjust the performance of radars which operate on water when the sea state changes but there is no need to change the radars which are covering the land. In this scenario you would only need to add profile changes to the radar covering the water.
To add radar settings to a profile:
Enable Config Mode and open the Radar Group for the radar you want to edit.
Select the required radar and select Actions->Profiles.
Select the profile to which you want to add these radar settings:
Select Add to edit the settings that will applied for this radar when the profile is selected:
Please refer to the Radar Settings section for more information on these parameters.
Once complete select Save.
