This page deals with the Layout tab on the User Details screen.

A user can change their User Interface Layout There are five User Interface layouts:

  • Live screen without Config Function enabled

  • Live screen with Config Function enabled

  • Playback screen

  • Alarm Dashboard

  • Topology screen

These layouts can be adapted to suit each user as per the instructions on this page: User Interface Layout.

There are also live camera Viewers which can be docked on a PPI window, and for AdvanceGuard® and Sea360®, additional PPI windows - see New PPI Pane - AdvanceGuard®.

The Layout tab allows the user you to save all five of these layouts and also switch between these saved layoutsfeatures together into one Available Layout. You can then configure various Available Layouts and switch between them.

When you have configured a new layout you can add and save it to the Layout tab. To add a new layout:

  1. Select the Edit Button:

  2. Select the Add icon:

  2. The Layout Name dialogue will be displayed. By default, the Layout Name field will be populated with a name that includes the current date and time:

  2. You can rename the Layout as required:

  3. Click OK:

  4. The current UI Layout will be displayed under Available Layouts, and the Active check box will show if this is the Active layout or not.

  5. Click Save to save the layout:

  2. Repeat the process with different layouts as required:

Apply Current Layout

  1. To change the layout of the UI, select the layout you wish to switch to and click the Apply current layout to PPI button:

  2. The Active check box will be selected to show that this is the currently applied layout:

Info

If you select Reset View from the System Menu, then the layout will change to the original, default layout.

Update Current Layout

If you decide that you want to update a layout, then you can do this by by:

  1. Ensuring that the layout you wish to update

  1. is Active:

  2. Close the User Details screen and amend the layout.

  3. Open the User Details screen and go to the Layout tab. Click the Edit button:

  2. Click the Update Current Layout button:

  2. Click Save:

  2. This will save the updated layout.

If you have not clicked on an Active layout when clicking the Update Current Layout button a warning will be displayed:

If you change your layout on the PPI and then open the Layout tab and click the Update Current Layout button then this warning will be displayed:

a layout but do not save it, then you will lose that change after logging out or switching to another layout.

Delete Layout

It is simple to delete an unwanted layout:

  1. Click Edit:

Reset Settings

  1. Clicking the Reset Settings button will reset all of your settings including the layouts to the default settings:
