New Features

  • TUN-6397 - Added new OpenWeather plugin that checks the online service to analyse the weather state from the nearest weather station to the configured AdvanceGuard® site. The plugin supports the ability to change tracking performance profiles in response to changes in weather state. Document can be found here OpenWeather Map Plugin.

  • TUN-6480 - MongoDb database authentication is now supported. This allows database access to be secured with a username and password. Both the database and AdvanceGuard® must be configured correctly to support authentication. Full instructions on implementing this feature can be found here Database Authentication. Authentication is not enabled by default, so this version will behave like all previous versions.

  • TUN-6485 - The underlying .NET framework has been updated to the latest .NET 8 release. This platform offers both security and performance enhancements. This new framework is an evolution of .NET 6 which was introduced in version 4.12. There are no changes to the pre-requisites because these are all included with the normal installation / upgrade.

  • TUN-6161 - The SightLogix 533-030 camera has now been integrated. Currently this is based on experimental camera firmware so is not production ready.

Improvements

  • TUN-6377 - Improved exception logging for the tracker upgrade manager to include the IP address of the device being upgraded.

  • TUN-6239 - Improved manual radar log capture UI notification to indicate if a capture was unsuccessful on any given radar.

  • TUN-6402 - Improved the density rule check logic to normalise the density check value so its not vastly different depending on the size of the area. The value is still size based, but now represents a % of the surface area.

  • TUN-6422 - When using the OpenWeather service plugin, the current weather state, wind speed, temperature and weather station location will be displayed in the plugin configuration panel.

  • TUN-6423 - When using a weather service plugin, there is now a user option available to display the current weather state and temperature in the application’s main title bar.

  • TUN-6445 - Improved the alarm categories so the tracker health performance alarm message is more meaningful.

  • TUN-6447 - Security has been improved on the Web Client UI to ensure it can’t be opened in an iFrame. This prevents scenarios where the client can be inserted into another application / site.

  • TUN-6476 - Security has been improved on the Web Client web server and on the application inter-process communications. All certificates have been updated to use the latest, more secure cryptographic hashing algorithms, Where available all connections will use TLS1.3 but no lower than TLS1.2.

  • TUN-6478 - Security has been improved on the Web Client UI to prevent the browser remembering previous usernames in the login dialog. This will forces users to always manually enter their username and password.

  • TUN-6480 - Updated MongoDb to version 4.4.28. This version supports improvements to replication including a more efficient synchronisation method and a recovery mechanism that allows initial synchronisations to resume in the event of a minor network interruption.

  • TUN-6485 - Security has been improved by updating all dependent packages which at the point of release has resolved all known vulnerabilities in these dependencies. This has also brought all the packages inline with the latest .NET 8 technology stack.

  • TUN-6303 - Added a new correlated track query option which will attempt to find all track data which the system considers to be the same target. This feature allows the user to rebuild the complete history of a target's movement across the site even if the track was dropped and re-acquired several times.

  • TUN-6304 - Added the KTS and HDR351 models to the radar model list.

  • TUN-6305 - Improved the Tracker Manager (TE) so it provides better logging during start up and stopping.

  • TUN-6356 - Improved the display and PPI window logic to ensure all map layout settings are saved on exit but window layouts are managed by the layout management feature.

  • TUN-6360 - Added a rotation display label to the PPI windows which shows when the display is being rotated, In addition, added a shortcut key to revert the rotation of any window to zero (Ctrl-Shift-Down Arrow).

  • TUN-6361 - Improved the sync logic between the PPI windows and the main window so that movements do not cause the salve window to jump when the primary windows is zoomed.

  • Improved the auto zoom label so it now appears in the PPI display when using both the button zoom and the mouse wheel zoom.
